(6) Woodland Viridian Sexlink Hatching Eggs

The Woodland Viridian are an Olive Egger back cross sexlink that lay beautiful shades of dark Forest green eggs. These are the darkest green egg layers we offer and they are unique in the fact that while they are a back cross, 100% of these Woodland Viridian will lay green eggs and be heterozygous for the blue egg shell gene (no chance for brown eggs). As a plus, they are sexable at hatch!

The forest green shades make a unique addition to any basket for a contrast of rustic color.

Your chicks will hatch black, with males being identifiable by a white dot on top of their heads. The males grow out with barring while the females remain solid black.

Lays aproximately 200 eggs yearly

Hens 5-6 lbs

Roosters 7-8 lbs

NOTE: When ordering these you will receive brown eggs. 100% of your hens hatched from these eggs will lay dark toned, forest green eggs. (as pictured)

While the female sexlinks may sometimes resemble our Midnight Viridian in appearance, it is important that they are not introduced to a Midnight Viridian flock if your intention is to keep pure breeding stock.
