According to Feng shui—a Chinese traditional practice seeking to bring people into harmony with their surrounding environment—the jade plant gives off nourishing qi or “vital energy." The custom of placing a jade plant inside a home or business to invite prosperity and good luck continues to this day.
Jade plants are hardy and can live for over 100 years. They grow beautifully and have a "bonsai" like appearance if pruned correctly.
I recommend only watering your jade once the soil has completely dried from the last watering. I water mine about once a week. Jade plants also do well outdoors in areas where the temperatures don't reach freezing point.
After receiving your jade just place the cutting stem down in some soil and then water it once. Within a week roots will begin to develop if they havent already.
