Our Zombie Chickens are a fun cross created by breeding a Black Ayam Cemani rooster over white Leghorn hens. The result is a striking hybrid that combines the productivity of Leghorns with the dark, mysterious traits of the Cemani.

These birds are excellent layers, producing a strong and consistent supply of eggs thanks to their Leghorn genetics. If you’re looking for a bird that’s both productive and visually interesting, Zombie Chickens are a perfect fit.

Most chicks inherit partial fibromelanism from the Cemani side, giving them darker skin, faces, and features that can look a little spooky, hence the name!

Sex-linked visual clues:

The darker fibromelanistic expression tends to show much more strongly in females. Pullets often inherit darker skin, beaks, and combs.

Cockerels, on the other hand, usually have yellow beaks and legs, showing more of the Leghorn influence and much less dark pigment.
